Karen Russell is an Irish visual artist who works primarily in oils. She is a figurative painter who creates strong vibrant, detailed work that evokes the past, exploring the idea of memory, recollection and nostagia for a simpler time.

Her love for colour and detail stem from her former two decade career as a professional tattooist.

Karen has a BFA in Painting from Crawford College of Art, Cork.
